We build the real thing, molecule by molecule.

For a century we designed molecules and machines by prediction, and reality kept disagreeing. Anneal Labs uses DNA to build, measure, and evolve real structures, a million at a time.

01

DNA is the addressing layer for matter.

It lets you place any component — a protein, an RNA, a metal atom, a sensor — exactly where you want it, programmably, at massively parallel scale.

Three of the hardest problems in sensing and measurement are the same missing capability in disguise: the inability to arrange molecular parts with nanometer precision, addressably, at scale.

We supply that capability once, and build real instruments on top of it — not reagents, not software, but integrated systems that see and measure single molecules at their own length scale.

02

Two kinds of annealing, one loop.

Anneal /ə'niːl/  ·  v.

DNA strands anneal into a designed structure — complementary sequences finding each other and settling into the shape we specified.

Anneal /ə'niːl/  ·  v.

The system anneals toward the best structure — we synthesize a population, measure it, and let selection settle it toward the optimum.

PHASE 01

Build

DNA self-assembly fabricates sensing and imaging elements with atomically defined geometry — on the order of a trillion per synthesis.

PHASE 02

Measure

Each element is read out at single-molecule resolution, turning a population of designs into a population of measured functions.

PHASE 03

Evolve

Selection drives the population toward the target, and the improved design feeds the next build. The loop closes.

the output of Evolve is the input to Build — design becomes an iterative, data-driven process.
03

One capability, pointed at three instruments.

A / SENSING

Single-molecule sensing & sequencing

DNA-defined pores with designed geometry and co-placed optical readout, resolving single-reaction events across many addressed channels.
